I bought a Cyonics ion laser a few years ago at a college surplus property store. It ran pretty well at first until the power supply suddenly started drawing over 20 amps from the wall and blew my power meter (which was rated for 20 amps).
Ever since that incident, I can barely get the laser running. It will only strike on the lowest power setting and if I turn the power up at all, the beam either drops out and starts flickering over and over or it will stay on but won't gain any intensity.
I'm just wondering if it's the head or the power supply that's causing the issue? I'd appreciate any advice as this has been driving me crazy.
