Transformer and Resistor question

I am new here and i confuse about transformer and resister
they both change the Volt of current but what is the different???

A transformer....... Transforms AC voltage by inductance...
A resistor..... resists the flow of electrons....

A Google search will find hundreds if not thousands of other
explanations...

btw some other ppl say AC some say DDC

AC is Alternating Current Like in your house wiring...
DC is Direct Current like your cars battery
