Big thanks to InfinitusEquitas for the green laser I bought. He is very easy to talk with and replies promptly. For the noobs here who want to have a deal with him, do not hesitate, he is very trustworthy.

The laser I bought is a Lazerer LZSK 50mW greenie. He said it peaked at 81mW and stable at 75mW. As my first real laser I really like the host and the overall feel of the laser. However, the divergence is crap. It won't focus to infinity but I don't really care.

Most people say it takes at least 100mW of 532nm to be able to do some burning but even at 75mW, this laser can do some burning. I was able to pop a balloon, light a match, etch into rubber and cut electrical tape.

I will make a thread showing some beam shots and burning videos maybe tomorrow.

Glad you like the laser :D

Thank you for posting this, it's a very nice surprise.

Likewise it was a pleasure dealing with Zeebit.

As I mentioned in PM's you can try using a jeweler's loupe/magnifying glass to increase burning ability somewhat. Just be very careful about reflection off of the glass surface.

I agree with zeebit! Infinitus is a great guy. He keeps his word and is indeed very trustworthy ;) don't hesitate to deal with him

Greetings,,

Thanks Offroad! This is really nice of you guys to post :D

Btw, I had kind of a crazy weekend, but will be testing the ophirs tonight.... I'm thinking it's time that the skylasers I got in the GB were put to some long testing :)

You're welcome.

So long as someone is nice with me then I can also return the favor. :)
