Hi, I have read both good and bad about WL and the Spyder 2 GX. Please tell me the best hand held green laser to buy that has 250 to 300 mw power. I have read about Nova, Crossfire, Laser Glow....Has anybody compared these with the Spyder? Or, with each other?
Thanks in advance,
Jay

Many people would swear by the RPL from www.optotronics.com
I would say that's your best bet for a handheld laser that's 200mW+
If you don't care about size and want a lot more power go for the Hercules

I've heard about a lot of problems with the Spyder II. I would personally go with the RPL also, but I don't have the money to get one lol

well i have had 7 of them so far.
sold off 5 still left with 2.

they shine very brightly and is very solid to touch.
try checking ebay for spyders and rpls.

Spyders might look sleek, but they'll get beaten to hell by the RPL.

My Aries will give a Spyder a run for it's money :D

LOL, I forgot about LaserGlow, I think a RPL is better then a Aries, since it's rechargeable. Also, look into the Hercules series by LaserGlow, it's the bomb.

Rechargable is ok but do not have the kick of a good alkaline of lithium. I've just ordered some adapters so I can use AA lithiums in my Aries :D

I think you have just been busted on LC there Gerald, you need to change your Avatar ;D I spotted it straight away, Nice try though, talking about yourself ROFLMAO ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Thanks to everybody for the advise....I am going to go with the RPL 300. I havn't even ordered it yet but I'm glad I asked you guys because I was leaning toward the Spyder...mainly for it's looks. Quality is very much more important though....
Thanks again,
Jay

As you see the opinion of Spyders here is VERY low. Most people think they are one of the WORST lasers of any sort available.
NOT recommended.
I and many others, have not heard of ONE Spyder that has been eve in spec, let alone over.
Most sit WELL below rating.
