hi guys ,i am Paul  :)
i am new to the forum, i really like lasers.

i would like to know 3 things :

1st i would like to know how do we call the the red or green line  like :  [====} --------------  [ch9788]
the -------- its the light that we can see. ( [====} is the laser.)
also how strong does the laser has to be so i can see the line

2nd what site does sell lasers in about 10-40$ that are prety good,  and that i can see the red or green line
and maibe could [burn some things. (facultatif)]

3rd is it real that wat made Kipkay (the red laser in a flashlight). is it real that the diode may burn and not be good anymore?
if so how can i make it so the diode to resist more ?also please dont show me the technical plans cause i am too noob to know what they mean

thanks alot, i hope i didnt put my message in the whrong tropic if i did i am sorry  :)

Hi, Paul
1) We just call the laser unit a "laser" ::) The line is called a "beam".
A red beam should be about 100mW to have some visibility.A 20mW green one would have about the same as the 100mW red, I guess.

2) www.dealextreme.com
For some semi-satisfing burning you need at least 150mW in my opinion.

3) Yes it's real, and yes you risk killing it by doing that. For longer diode life, and less risk I'm sorry but you have to look at the "technical plans" to make a circuit. :P

Btw, just out of curiosity , what country are you from? :-/

hey paul, WELCOME!! :D

well, according to the third question: you would have to learn how to build a circuit board for an automated gain control (AGC) and learn where and why to place resistors. if you have technical knowledge, search the forums i am sure you will find the answers you need.

cheers

the probleme is that i dont really have technical knowledge  :'( also wat is the diference betwen a True Green Laser Pen 30mW and a Green Laser Pointer Pen 30mW

Hi Paul :)
True means its Verified power and it has a good Diode.
just 30mw means it could be less than 30mW or more than 30mW.

IR filter visible or something like this what does it mean .

i heard that this laser "true 30mw green laser" may burn your eyes only if u watch at the beam or many things like this
is it real if so how can i protect?

also is it legal to order a "true 30mw green laser" in canada quebec?

PM sent, I hope you understood well enough.Don't hesitate to message me if you have further questions. ;)

It's legal to buy or own any laser in Canada. Just don't point it at any airplanes or I'll have to book a flight over to Quebec.

Spameriffic! ::) But I'm sure everyone noticed it...We can give a (-) to people who spam and go offtopic now [smiley=evil.gif]

Yeah, people are already giving me positive and negative (mostly negative) ratings for my awesome posting.
