Ok i need serious help here, I have just completed my first build, but i dont want to show you guys in a hobby box :D :(
I bought a couple of these flashlights
http://images.madeinchina.com/p/460...-Zooming-Glass-Optics-Cree-P4_4934460.bak.jpg
It is perfect for a 3xAAA or 1x18650 , the problem is that it has a focusable lens on the top which is held by a movable joint.. but this joint is a FIXED joint rather than a threaded one,
I tried a lot of force, placed it in a vice, but it will deshape the flashlight as far as im good at doing.. So anyone please tell me is there any way to remove the focusable joint..
the name of this flashlight is Cree P4 WC
X2000 Flood-to-Throw Zooming Glass Optics Cree P4-WC LED Flashlight (1*CR123A) - Free Shipping - DealExtreme

Solved: I Crushed the lens and voila.. no need to remove the top :)
THanks!

for your other ones, try removing the ring that holds the lens in first, then remove the lens. The lens barrel should then slide over the body of the flashlight and off the back.

Those are nifty flashlights, my first one was one of those x2000.

That host can also make a cool build with the head turning to focus your laser...

See here: :D
