Hello everyone,
I'm a bit strapped for cash right now and have been looking over at these first builds I made some time ago and thinking "man, these really don't get much use anymore" and it dawned on me that I should sell them inexpensively and make some one new happy.
Here is an 100mW red 658nm DIY pocket build I did about a year ago. It peaks at >110mW but averages 80 to 100mW (based on battery voltage - fresh alkalines are best, NiMH's never see above 90mW), so that's what I'll sell it as. It runs on two AAAs. The module was originally sold by LaserLands but is no longer up on their site. The driver current is not adjustable and the diode is in one of their modules which extends beyond what an Aixiz does so you can't use a focusing ring. It is focuable and set to roughly infinity. I just use a pair of needle-point tweezers to focus it. It has maybe three hours of use on it total and features a 100% duty cycle. The side toggle switch is a dual-function that allows you to switch it on and leave it on or momentarily turn it on and release. The electrical tape on the aperture just helps to keep lint/dust out of it when it is in your pocket.
It measures: 4 5/8"L x 2"W x 1 1/8"H and comfortably fits in your pocket.
My price is $25 + $5 shipping within the US. International shipping can be quoted on request but it is expensive, untrackable, and SLOW... really.. really slow unless you request EMS/Express/UPS which would cost more than the laser. PayPal only.
P.S.: I'd trade for a V5 Flexdrive.
