when i shined it through a 600line grating there was what looked like cyan light on the wall. I saw the Post on PL about this. My laser normally needs 6-9v for the driver set to 2.4a.

I will try to get a picture. The battery was at 3.89 and it was below laser threshold and it proced a cyan line from the lens making a line. Anyone else ever get this?

Are you sure it's an actual laser line? most diodes display broadband LED emission near threshold, which probably includes cyan for 445nm...

Laser emission will be a distinct bright
dot. Are you saying there is more than one
dot, or is there just a smeary cyan line
area?

600 lines isn't much. It will be pretty
hard to make out with so few lines. That
grating is better suited to red and IR.
