I have two pairs of diode harvested from Sony 18x DVD / 48x CD/R Drive.

The Red is a "short Open Can"
The IR is a "Windowless" can

I don't know the power of the "short Open Can" vs. the "long Open Can".
The power of the IR is around 240mW.

Price is $26 per pair Red+IR shipped via USPS first class + tracking, price for 2 pair $50.

hey TheMonk how was the easiest way to get these out of the heatsinks they are in cause i broke one from lot of 2

I used hacksaw to cut the thinner part of the heatsink, and then used two locking pliers to break the heatsink apart.

NVM, I think I'll get the sony dvd burner from newegg instead. Good luck with the sale though. :)
