I purchased a 1.3-1.8w 445nm laser from sflasers a few months ago. It worked fine the last time I used it about 3 weeks ago. Today I put some freshly charged batteries in, turned it on, and got nothing. It has probably seen less than 30 minutes of total on time, and has never been on for more than 30-40 seconds continuous. Could the diode be dead already?

Replied to your email.

They do not die quickly. I do not think it is the diode.

Reply to my email and we will fix it together.

have you checked to see that your batteries are making good contact with the internal springs? also try bypass the switch with a multimeter (with laser goggles on) and check if there is a current draw, check battery voltage with multimeter,

Start with the simple things before thinking the worst,

Look inside your tail cap where the switch is, make sure the ring that holds the switch in is not loose and if it is tighten it.
