Hey guys i have been using a 50mw green laser for about the past week that i got from ebay. Is it a must to use safety glasses? I mean the beam doesnt bother me unless i shine it close to my eyes. I dont think the laser has a built in infrared filter. What exactly does the infrared filter do for you anyways? I would be welcome to suggestions. I'm also getting a dragon laser 125mw. Will it be necessary to wear safety glasses? Will sunglasses be sufficient until i can buy some online? Thanks sorry for being such a newbie at this

if you're getting a 125mW viper, you WILL need safety goggles!
when ur burning matches etc, and you look at the dot to make sure ur hitting the match tip ----- you can tell it hurts your eyes

its painful to look at. And no sunglasses are not enough. I made a video where i shined my 125mW through a pair of sunglasses and a pair of green laser goggles, unfortunately it didnt get approved by Wicked lasers yet so I can't link you. The sunglasses barely do anything.

Who has the cheapest safety glasses and is there anywhere i can get them in town? Thank you

Hi jono40141,
I'm not sure about the cheapest, or if that's what you really want when your eyes are at risk and need good protection, but our laser glasses are of high quality and inexpensive as well.

You can find them on our RPL page at.

The current price is $48.

and just to let you know you'd be better off not wearing anything than sungalsses because the sun glasses widen your pupils to take more light in because it's dark, so if you get hit with the laser more of the laser light will get into your eye. Buy some goggles your eyes are worth it!

This is kind of a stupid question but when you look through your safety glasses how "orange" is everything around you? It seems like that might take away some of the thrill for me.

It DOES take a away a certain bit of the "thrill"...but if I am engaging the beam at close distances, I ALWAYS use eye protection - as I want to see my little one go off to college !

lol, now that your unbanned from LC, once you get your laser shades you should make another video of you lighting up a smoke, except this time with safety glasses ;D

That would be funny since so many of them flamed you for your original video lol

I've already posted a funny pic to test the water so start the betting to see how long it takes me to get banned ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
