well it's half past midnight and I decided to play with my 30mw greenie.
Pulled it apart and cranked up the pot until I could get a stable beam.
Basically it starts out in TEM 01 for less than a second and then jumps to TEM00 and stays that way for as long as I keep it on. The beam is much brighter than out of the box now.
I also broke the loctite on the focusing ring and made the smallest spot i could manage at about 2 meters.
This Laser now works very well.
If anyone has one of these when you pull it apart the lens assembly is glued (not very well) into the black head assembly, let me know if anyone wants pics.
