Just tale a small telescoping antenna (from a radio
or remote control) and take it apart..
One of the sections will fit in between the LD front
and the LD flange and can be used to push out
the LD. That's what I use...

Well I did not have an old telescopic arial, so I improvised. You know those little DC jack adapters that come with DC plug packs? I found one (I have dozens) the right diameter, hacked it apart with a small pair of cutters and ended up with a nice little hollow sleeve that did the trick.
Oh these brass LD blocks are nice... Blue ray now running in one, I'll do the red next.
