Hey all,
I would like to know if it is possible to remove the focusing head from a DX Baton Style to glue in an IR filter.
I know it is not really necessary but I would still like to do it.
Thanks

Yes, it is possible, i did it with me hands, although it was very hard. o wait a minute, no i remember now, i used 2 rubber grips, a kitchen object for opening tight lids. Just turn the body and the focusing part opposite of each other, also be sure you are not turning the focusing ring, i turned mine the first time and tightened it so it couldn't move. I then was able to tighten it and get it back to normal, i did this a few times lol. You may have to put all of your muscle into it, but once you finally get it it's easy to turn from there. the thing is surprisingly heavy too, most of the laser's weight is just from the focusing part itself.

I done it too. All you need is rubber grips or rubber glovers and muscles ;) You can clean dust inside.
