Shields up... incoming photons!

Both pics are 1 sec f/2.6 exposures - no smoke was used.

Great pics. How you get such nice solid beams without any smoke is a mystery to me. Must be in the camera. ::)

It's not 'in the camera' really.. the beams are quite visible to the naked eye as well. The long exposures do make a lot of difference though, mine are 1 second exposures with little background light.

If you want beams like this, i suggest working in dimly lit a room, it helps the contrast a lot.
