I've always seen green used, however I was blowing my WB today and I noticed that WL's red-laser goggles were blue!

Blue makes more sence, being the exact opposite of red, but if that's the case, why did we use green for so long? and if green is best, why is WL selling blue goggles?

The blue lensed goggles that Wicked/NOIR sells are pretty much the standard...the green lensed goggles that are knock off brands, are not specifically designed to be adequate protection, and as such should be well steered clear of.

The color of the lenses really have nothing to do with it. As long as the lenses aren't red, its possible (not guaranteed, just possible) that they will block red. I have some green-tinted ones for IR and blue/cyan for red. There's no reason green tinted lenses couldn't be made to block 635-700nm, but its more likely to be blue since that allows more leniency between the blocked and passed wavelengths.

Will the WL goggles actually also work with the GB diodes?
The [ch916][ch955] is 8nm, is that still within specs?

Senkat tested the WL goggles. The lasershades work good, the elite sport are such a high OD you cant even see the red dot!
