I just saw this on ebay, anyone know what company makes these? Pretty good deal for $350, shipping included. Much better than the sonar! Looks very tempting. ;D
 





I sent them an email asking for more details - we'll see what their reply is :-)
 
Not sure about what you have there... would be interested in the details as well. I could have sworn the video makes it look like it's a collimated LED. It seems to diverge ALOT.

it always seems like the laser is diverging alot on a camera but the divergence should be quite good, i managed to get the divergence on mine down to 0.1mrad
 
I have heard nothing back from them beyond that they were waiting on more stock.

From what I have seen they seem to sell one about every week. Hopefully I will be able to get one soon. ;)
 
I am tempted too but just did the group buy and I go on holiday in just over 2 weeks so its going to have to wait, can justify it if someone gives it a good review before hand (Hint to Senkat)
 
I was eyeballing that laser before someone bought it. $350 is really tempting but at the rate blu-ray pointers are dropping in price I think you'll see them for under $200 within the year and for less than $100 by mid 2008. They're as simple design-wise as the red pointers, it's just the diode itself that's still relatively rare.
 
Well, good news for ALL ! Tesla has decided to send me one for review - it has already been shipped, and should be here any day now ! I am greatly looking forward to this laser - I will be posting many reviews over the next two days, so if I am not monitoring hte forum as much, that is why :-)
 
Oh, that does not mean I get to keep it ! I just get to play with it for a while, I mean TEST it, and write a review ! 8-)
