What can happen if I use these 2 batteries in series ?

Is it safe to do so ?

(+ 10440)(1.5v aaa rechargable alkaline -)

I'm guessing the 10440 might start charging the 1.5v incorrectly or 1 may die before the other.

Most likely 1 will die before the other, or they might explode and cause a huge global catostrophe :p

It is not recommended to mix battery types like this. Two or more identical batteries in series is OK, but putting dissimilar types in series can be trouble. Perhaps you could use 2 x 10440 with a couple of voltage dropping diodes to bring you down from 8.4 volts to the 5.7V or so that you seem to be looking for.

Hi,

it is true that it is not recommended to mix up the batteries as, it might get explode and results in a big explosion so this should not be done as it may seems harmful.

Thanks!!:yh:
