Question about 200 mW 650nm (red) laser

Hey, i'm considering to buy this laser : $47.53 Focusable Red Beam Laser Pointer Pen Flashlight 200mW - BudgetGadgets.com

but i was wondering, can you see the beam of a 200 mW 650nm (red) laser at night? :thinking:
and if yes, would it be more visible than a 30 mW green?

in daylight no at nite yes not very bright but you will see the beam of 200mW red best outdoors as the beam reflection will not mask the beam itself

i just edited my question seconds after you answered,

and if yes, would it be more visible than a 30 mW green?

i'd like to know since my only other laser i have is a 30 mW green so i could compare

No the 30mW green will be brighter than the 200mW red by a fair bit ..but you still will see the red beam i did a comparison for another member not long ago with my 225 mW red verses 25 mW green both LPM so the comparison was right and the green was easy brighter

and how about a 100 mW 405nm , would that be brighter than a 30 mW 532nm?

No that would be even less the eye can just see a 405 nm laser much less and its UV and you cant see it at all , a violet laser is only about 2 percent i think as visible as a same power green, have not got my chart with me at the moment but around that mark, if you want brighter forget red or violet or blue get a 100mw + green

yeah it was a stupid question, just saw on a picture i found on google that violet was way on the bottom.
I think i'll just go with the 650nm one.
