Hi,

Is it possible to focus a laser to say a 0.1mm spot over a number of meters?
How would the optics look for this?
I'm looking to take some precise measurements and wonder what optics and how they are set up to achieve this.

Thanks for your help.
 





I don't know much, myself, but I can say that the optics will be round and on the large side in terms of diameter. Probably a large short FL aspheric would do.
