i have a helium-neon laser 6.5 milliwatts class 3b, but i dont have a power supply. Can anyone help me out and point me in the right direction to get a power supply that will work for this laser please. The part number is worn down but i can barely make out the mfg date which looks like 1982. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Look up the manufacturer. You'll need something in the realm of 15kv and like 5mA. Or something like that (lotta volts not many mA).

ok i got a DC power supply from mi-lasers.com my next question would be where can i get a battery pack that has DC 12v 1.5 amps?

car? sounds like a battery pack from an r/c hobby shop.. pretty sure i see 12v 1500ma+ all the time.
