Hi

My old laser from o-like malfunctioned, it was this :-
200mW transformable green laser/adjustable [OLV6200] - $129.99 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce

I sent it back & am receiving this, as other not in stock:-
Power Rock Green laser Torch 200mW /Focusable&Waterproof [OLPRGL200] - $134.99 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce

Has anyone used a power rock laser & will it be better than the transformable one!

The Power Rock has an on/off button, not a momentary button!, are there advantages/disadvantages in these 2.

Thanks

I bought my son one of those PowerRock 200's. It's not a bad little greenie at all. I've no idea what the transformable one is like (I just read somewhere they can malfunction :D ) but the power output is stated as 175 - 200mW and therefore probably wont be over 200mW (guessin') ; The Power Rock is stated as >175mW and could be over 200mW ('ours' LPM'd at 215mW last time I checked.)

On/off button doesn't have to be held on for laser to work, momentary does. The advantage/disadvantage comes down to if you like holding the button down or not. I suppose it all depends on how you intend using the laser - quite obvious really :na:

...though, thinking about it, I always use 2 hands to turn on a tailcap clicky. I like to know exactly where the dots going to be when I power up (gotta be careful of those reflective surfaces :D) and its easier using 2 hands to hold it dead steady and accurate. You can do that with 1 hand with a 'momentary'. That leaves a hand free to hold another one :D

Hi Stix62, that sounds great about your Powert Rock peaking at 215mw, i was thinking as it says on O-Like website that the Power Rock was 175mw, that was the peak period & that the transformable fluctuated between 175 & 200!

Ah, so the on off switch is on the tail cap & not on the side?
This would be problematic when using 1 handed like a lightsaber for example!
