I know that the uvex SCT-Orange glasses block 405, 445, and 532 pretty well as shown here: , so I thought about looking for a cheap pair of glasses for the other end of the spectrum. I came across these which use the uvex SCT-Blue lenses. I would hazard a guess that they will work fairly well for red/yellow, but these are NOT tested and I don't have an LPM. Here they are: Uvex S1932X Skyper Safety Eyewear,Black Frame,SCT-Blue UV Extreme Anti-Fog Lens - Amazon.com
On Uvex's website, it says these glasses are recommended for use in environments with high amounts of yellow light with sodium vapor lighting, so they definitely reduce the amount of yellow, but that doesn't determine whether they will stop laser light and at what wavelengths.
Does anyone here think that these have a possibility of being used as "guest" goggles for red lasers? If you guys think they might be reasonably protective for <300mW or so, I might be willing to send a pair to a trusted volunteer for testing.
