Pointer with flat wide beam instead of pointer?

New here.. have been looking for a pointer (red) for a project that requires a flat wide beam instead of a point or image. This is similar to the laser sights on the mason equipment that span across corners to make sure each coarse is level.
Anyone know where I can find one?

Take any red pointer, buy a line generating lens, and fasten it to the front.
