Please point me to good safety glasses!

Hi everyone -



Just purchased a 1W 445nm Blue laser off the internet. I took the main body off and the diode had 1.6w printed on it. I don't have a laser power meter to tell for sure but it's up there in regards to power.


The red safety glasses that came with it are the cheapo's you find all over eBay for around $4 shipped.


I'm knew to lasers at this power and really want to protect my eyes 100% from the start.


I normally can do my own research and find the best of the best on almost anything. However, I seem to be having trouble finding good/great safety glasses.


Can anyone please give me a link to glasses that have been proven to be the best?


I want to use my new laser for popping balloons, cutting tape etc. And maybe using it on a new power meter if I get one eventually.


Any help would be greatly appreciated as I haven't used my new laser as I don't feel the glasses are adequate. It has just been sitting it's in box.

I called "Gary" at Eagle Pair and he directed me to their standard orange safety goggles. I placed the order


I appreciate the response. Now I can get to work using this thing!
