I blasted the plastic pumpkin next door with 150mW from my DX labby (I got a champ) and that thing lit up beond my expectations!

That's fluorescent transformation. COOL

Happy Halloween to all globalist.

Good way to make a Great Pumpkin. (Linus of Charlie Brown comes to mind)

;D

OK,
Agreed. Thou should not LASER tease.

I will post a pic.

Damn, getting off focus to in focus again....

I gladly work for rep points please.

Hope I don't wake the nieghbors kids. Ha HA

Now where did that tripod go?....
Sigh..

You must have some pretty darn good crystals + alignment in that thing ! If the diode is running at 500mW ( thats what it's rated for I believe ) then thats bang smack on 30% efficiency !

Guessing it's the 35mW module you have ?

Meh I'm going to take mines apart , cant seem to get the actual module apart though after it's out of the heatsink.

It's a DX 50/100mw turned up to 466mA.

Update:
plastic pumpkin was replaced by a bigger inflatable that does'nt glow/floresc.
I will hunt for another PP target for photo

sounds like a 4chan comment.. lol... sry.. I couldn't resist[/quote]

Ha... I have never done the 4chan thing... I guess it would have been a bit more like it if I actually had access to the pics that say the same thing :P
(and yes, I was too lazy to google :P)

anyways, boo for them moving the pumpkin!

1st give me a clue on what 4chan is please.

2nd Sorry, these pics don't capture the florescence I saw on the other PP a few nights ago.

Orange floresc. paper has same effect (office depot copy paper, etc)

I'll try to get more pics when the lights are out so we get better definition.

Turning up the 532nm mW power showed very little difference.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN [smiley=evil.gif]

DX50/100 labby built on a monitor heatsink with li-ion 2.4amp inside a 1/2 pvc tube, fusesoldered to CW switch, 5k pot for Pwr adj and a rotary pulsing switch for blanking(quick on-off pulsing dependant on how fast U turn switch shaft). Quick & dirty hot glued perfection!

Notice I have a stereo macroscope now for SMD chips!

Laser 10,YVO and 2,YVO 2mm 2,YVO .5mm & 2,YAG for BiBO to 473nm. The crystals are sticking to a plastic membrane inside the 2, clear plasic containers . Saw a ebay pic and I thought the crystal had square defects. Didn't figure each little square was a laser!!

Set of 2W 808 c-mount diodes screwed down saftly on a steel plate anodized with that Jap. gold stuff you see on Jap cars.
They are colomated diodes so the output has a pyrimid shaped emission.

Been putting off this display of my treasures too long; sorry for being so unprofessional.

Cheers
