Orange sticker makes greenie yellowish?

Currently I'm at my grandpas place, and when I was shining around my DX30 down in his garage/workshop (I was bored, okay? ) when I noticed a signal orange sticker on a box. When I shined the laser on it, the colour of the dot suddenly changed to yellow/orange   I tried with several red/orange areas, but to no avail. Unfortunately I don't have my camera with me, but I'll see if I can borrow his and upload a picture or two.

EDIT: Just went down and shined a bit on it again, and there were a taped area that made the dot red when I shined on it  

Anyone have an explanation for this? Is this an uncommon phenomenon, or have I just been living under a stone?

I tried with clear tape on my pink marker, and it makes no difference.

i have a big pink bag from a store my mom goes to and i kept it because it fluoresces.

It's called fluorescence.

I know about fluorescence, just didn't know it could happen with a green pointer

I still wonder where the red ligt came from, because in all other pictures/videos that show green fluoresce (is this right? hate that word...) it only fluorescescescses (told ya ) in yellow/orange.

Um not true I posted some pics somewhere around here where my greenie pointed into some pink glass turned into a red beam.

Correction: It should be "in all other pictures/videos that I HAVE SEEN". Sorry about that

Anyway, it's cool that this thing happens
