Oops, thats not good!!

Well i bought a 16x diode from stonetech pre instelled in aixiz housing it came in about 4 days. So when i get it i hook it up to my driver and everything seems fine flip it on nothing and i quickly shut it off. So i go take a look at the curcit and what do u know i solderd the wires wrong on my battery case DOH!!!! :-[. and so i fixed it the i got to turn it on an the diode is like a really faint red oops.


I am pretty sure this diode is fied but wat to u think also this time i loped a little diode that only lets positivte through on way and not the other so if i pet in backwards it wiill no short the curcit

Was the housing screwed on? I thought my blu-ray died but took off the housing and it was fine.

yeah sometimes the Back part of the aixiz housing shorts the diode out.

Well, I guess there's one thing you can learn from this.... is to always have a protection diode across the LD. That way, in case of reverse polarity, it would not die.

ya i am soldering a diode like the little glass ones into the psitive wire so if that hapens again it wont short
