Old laser pointer

Hi, i found a old laser pen in one of my draws :wave: but then i opened it to put some batterys in i found there was no place inside the tube for the battery to sit on... the battery compartment is comeplety empty! so i was wondering how i could repair this because it is a good soild laser and would like to keep it... its a low power one probs just for the dot to shine on the wall... doesnt burn/ make lasers unless theres smoke around

battery compartment empty and you cant fit the battery? you must be using a wrong type of battery, try button cells LR44/AG13 that lil' pointers use it often. Or may be you have found a spacetime compression battery holder? :thinking: :yh:

By "the battery compartment was empty" do you mean that there's no driver, diode, or otherwise module?
