Hi all,

So i got this new pointer and the host is big, bulky, and very unstable. The battery shakes around and i'm afraid to just have it in my pocket. I would like to use my old host (black one pictured) and swap out the internals. Is this possible? How hard would it be? can i do this in one sitting (like right now) or do I need special equipment?

Have you even tried taking them apart to see how they are made? You should be able to tell if they are interchangeable.

I have no idea. What do you see that makes you believe that it is meant to be removed?

What are these spots? Glue? Something else? Are they securing the module?

How about the other side? You are looking for a retaining ring or something that is holding everything in. If you don't see something obvious, you might be out of luck.

That warranty sticker might be a clue... Why would removing the sticker void the warranty?

Maybe?

From you pictures it is really impossible to tell. Are the three dots bumps or holes?
If they are holes you might be able to unscrew a retaining ring.

this is an example of how to unscrew a retaining ring.

Hey! That warranty sticker... did you remove it yet?

You need to actually TRY and take your laser apart and see what happens. Asking us to looks at blurry pictures so that we can guess is a little retarded.
