very impressive creation out of just dvd drives,you could you a stronger diode for better results,3232vf is only rated 50mw cw and seems a bit low for engraving

hi,

thanks for the response. This was a project for fun only. A verry low cost engraver, fast an cheap build (LD ~ 2€, Driver LM358 based, arduino clone 2€).

i use a big and a fast CNC Engraver with a ~2W Laser for Wood Engraving (Pens and small wooden cans).

China seller offers CDR-based engravers for ~100€ ... the "1000W"-Powerlaser is a cheap 150mW laser, and the software dont understand grbl (standard)

thats it ;-)
