Purchased the Silver Chrome 50mW for a friend to take to Peru where he's visiting his family way up in the mountains.

The case is basic but it looks really nice :eg:
The beam is easily visable in a partially lit room.
Dot is less than 10mm at 15 feet.
Specs say it's set to 500mA
It gets warm in about 90 seconds.
I have to say this thing gives my 150mW Optotronics pen a run for it's money.
I bet it's overspec.....I see an LPM in my future.
