I think that o-like says to use the 16340 batteries - could the 18650 be used in place of this like the rayfos one says it uses?

yep you can use one 18650 or two 16340 but with one battery the power isn't powerfull see my review

actually its 950mw, its pretty close to what o-like says it is, they dont really lie about specs.
