I'm new to the board but I wanted to let everyone know how valuable it was in making my purchase decision.  I considered a number of companies and models, but the consistently positive reviews of the Nova products and service made the X-75 an easy decision. I ordered the X-75 and the Sport safety goggles on Wednesday night at 11 pm and received the package this morning (Friday) at 9 am using the TNT shipping.  The unit is rated at a peak power of 99 mW and an average power of 93 mW.  The unit work perfectly and while I haven't used it outside yet, it absolutely lights up a darkened room.  I have a physics and electrical engineering background, but I'm a novice when it comes to owning a laser of this nature.  The initial reason for buying a laser was for astronomy, but the more time I spent on this site the more it was apparent that they're pretty fun too, even when you know the theory behind them.    Thanks again.

You made a good choice.
I don't have a laser from NOVALasers myself, but I do know that many people are satisfied with their purchases, especially with how the units are above specification. Enjoy your laser! And don't forget to wear those safety glasses if you use the lasers indoors.

Jimmy,

Thanks for the welcome. I took the X-75 out on the night of July 4th and the visibility of the beam is phenomenal. When pointed straight up it seems to go on forever.
