Nova x-125 arrived today. Very Nice. 147mW Avg.!

My nova x-125 came today and wow what a surprise, average output 146.9mW and peak 150.5. This laser is really really bright and i am going to order some goggles. Can you use energizer lithiums with these? I'm currently using some normal alkaline batteries and just wondering if that is letting out the full power of this beast.

Also, can I use some piece of sticky tape on the top to prevent dust getting into it when its not in use?

Lithiums work fine in the nova X-series lasers. You can use tape to keep dust off the lens as long as you are careful that the tape doesn't actually touch the lens.

Energizer E2 Lithiums and Duracell Powerpix will unlock the full potential of your penlaser, in my experience.

Your X125 will EAT alkalines, my old X105 did that. In fact, my X105 worked better on eneloop rechargable batteries than it did on alkaline batteries, pick some eneloops up, they are great batteries.

Congratulations! Wheres the photos man? Oh yeah, you need better power first. Maybe you should start a thread in the Review section. I always like to see people sharing their new lasers.
