Thats a good one

I bought two at a great price ($23. shipped) just for the open can diodes.
I put them back together properly, I wonder if they would still play a
movie or read data?

That would be funny if we all sent them back, RMA , on fri. sept. 19 ;D

Thats a good question.  I supose if you put it back together perfectly it should be able to read.  I think they might get suspecious if they get 100 refunds all becasue they don't burn... ;D  Now lets wait till someone actually uses this idea and ruins it for the rest of us...
