I would like to make a homemade golf swing plane trainer. To do that, I need two green lasers with the following:
  • barrel style with constant on/off switch
  • relatively bright, so it has the potential to be used outdoors (but not absolutely required)
  • fairly inexpensive, this is not a serious use of a laser
  • light weight (few ounces)
  • fairly low wattage, but bright enough for the use
  • I would prefer AAA batteries, but not absolutely required

It would be something like this, but in green, so I can see it better.

If anyone can suggest a good place to find one or start looking, I would appreciate it.

thanks,

Iman,

thanks for replying...

I am not sure what you mean by making one, but my backup strategy is to get a couple of green laser modules, some AAA battery holders, a rocker switch and build it all into a PVC pipe casing. The expensive swing plane trainers they sell are nothing more than that. So I guess I am looking for leads on inexpensive green modules also.

Iman,

Thanks again. I had seen these. there are a number of options ranging from 5 ot 50mW. There is also a New Wish option for $15 that folks seem to think are higher quality. One issue is the on/off switch. I need these to be continuous on, so I can swtich it remotely on the outside of the swing stick I will build. I would have to figure out how to epoxy or some other method of keeping the push switch on.
