Hey everyone! First post :wtf:

Currently own a red laser with 210mw of power... purchased from lazerer over 4 years ago. Unfortunately, my 13 year old self put the batteries in backwards after a few months of using it...

So i'v decided on getting a 445nm 1W laser, but am not sure where i should buy from. Wanting to keep it under $100 so I pretty much narrowed it down to 2 options.

Sci Fi Lasers 1W Laser for $95 Inc. Shipping.

Survival Lasers 1W for $99 + shipping(dunno yet :p )

If you were going to buy a begginer laser, and didn't want to fool with soldering, which would you chose? Keep in mind, I havn't got the time with school and sports to browse these forums much, so I havn't been keeping up to speed on what companies are still good.

GOGOGOGOGOGOGO

Well , Both companies are good . But I personally prefer SciFi lasers ! Just got bored with the C6 host .

Hey Track,

The lasers you found are of good quality and are made by a respected member on these forums so you can't go wrong with them! :)

First off, do you have proper glasses agaisnt 445? 1W isn't something you want to get in your eyes.

I'm guessing that your parents will be making the purchase for you since you will need a credit card to make the purchase. I know you said you had a 210 mw (red) laser but it's a big difference from the ones you're asking about. Nobody here will sell you that because you're underage. It's very important that you read the literature here first, then introduce yourself. Please wear eye protection!

Yes, i have some goggles somewhere around. I understand that a laser is not a toy, and should only be put in hands of someone who respects it... I already have a difficult time hearing at the age of 17, and the last thing I need is to be deaf and blind...

Still not sure which I am going to pick, but i'll post a video or review of it when it arrives!

EDIT: I was going to go with survival lasers, so i could see how to actually put these things together. BUT, i live in the United States, and they don't sell their kits with diodes to the US...
