Need some help repairing/choosing parts

I bought a dud Power Rock 1W 445nm laser from O-Like, this one. It turns on but is incredibly weak - I can barely see it even in a dark room.

So, what I'm looking for is a way to repair or replace any necessary components without going through O-Like - because it's passed the warranty now (which is b•llshit). I already have a decent host, batteries, etc., at hand. I just need to know what to buy, where to buy it, and some help with the technical aspects.

I'm new at this and just want a nice laser to tinker with, so any help would be great, thanks!

Ok that's a start, but you're not even halfway to having it taken apart enough to repair or even diagnose

So I starte a new thread with more specific photos to examine. I don't think there's anything I can really do at this point, but whatever. Figured I might as well be absolutely sure. I guess now I need to figure out how to replace it.
