Whats the cheapest laser can be seen clearly at night and go a fairly long distance?

anything over 30mw would be very noticeable at night in saying that, depending on the position/angle the beam was looked at from.

from what ive heard, its a pure gamble. some are IR filtered others arent, some are underpowered and some even die under a week. (hence the price) giv it a shot if u want, u wont b losin much.
just pay that bit extra and go for the nova x-series.

All of them are ir filtered but its not a very effecient filter, anything below the true 50 should be fiine since the filter will work at those lower powers.

...lazer... ;D ;D ;D

yea, well ill get a laser from the x series. Why is the 15mw from alpha series so much more expensive then an x65?

EDIT: also, how good would x25 be in night sky?
2nd EDIT: How far would an x25 go?
3rd EDIT: Which is a better deal? x25, or viper series 35mW?
4th EDIT: Would you need eye protection for 25mW? 35mW?
5th EDIT: How good is a 5mW in night sky? 15mW? How far does 5mW go? 15mW?

Lol... Sorry for so many edits. A lot of questions keep popping into mind and i keep adding?

^^ Can anyone answer these questions?

Instead of answering them...
(all green of course)
5mW will be visible to you and anyone close by in the night sky.
15mW will be visible to you and those a few metres around.
30mW will be visible for about 100m either side if the sky is dark enough.
50mW will be brightly visible as above.
100mW is gonna be VERY bright.

Personally I would recommend either the DealExtreme True 30mW or teh X-25. The Alpha series is more expensive because they take bigger batteries and are FDA approved.

if your gona get an x25 think about uprgrading it, the upgrades to like x-46 or 65 arent very much and you would even be able to burn stuff with them. the x-65 would probably be about right for pointing in the sky, it would be bright but probably not to bright, plus everyone in a very large radius could see the beam.

Dragon lasers and Novalasers both use the same brand of lasers made by CNI. Wooooooolazer I don't know where your coming from with such a bold statement like that :-?

I thought i saw a reveiw that said they werent very good lasers, but i just relooked and found out the reviews on their lasers i found were good. :-[

Ill edit my post.

...lazer... :-[ :-[ :-[

I never heard anything bad bout dragonlasers... anyways.. back to the topic. Can somebody answer my last post?
