Hi, i reacently bought a 2w 445nm Blue Laser, but i need safety-googles! I'm not sure how i'll find the right ones, so i need help. Can you guys give me some links to googles that are safe/good, and for a decent price? Price need to be low, but the quallity have to be good, and they HAVE TO protect me :)

These are some of the googles i have been looking at:
http://www.amazon.com/Uvex-S0360X-U...&sr=8-12&keywords=uvex+goggles#productDetails

http://www.amazon.com/Uvex-S1933X-Eyewear-SCT-Orange-Anti-Fog/dp/B000USRG90/ref=pd_bxgy_hi_text_y

Are these safe and OK?

Thanks!

Some of the Uvex goggles were ok, but I can't say about those. The problem is they are not proper laser safety goggles and so if they changed the dyes etc we would be none the wiser. The goggles therefore may, or may not be safe.

As such I would recommend eagle pair. They are dedicated laser goggles, good value for money and work well. I have several pairs.

Have a look in my signature for more details.

Hi zack, the first pair of goggles you linked I've owned and used for awhile. They're not the best out there but for the price they're pretty good. I wear them while using my 1.7w 445nm and they block the light very well.

Many people here will tell you to get the best of the best when it comes to eye protection. If you need goggles in a pinch, they will do, but save up for some serious protective eyewear in the future.
