Need help identifying useful LD in DVD-RW

My friend donated me his DVD-RW 16x drive which I duely opened up to extract the diodes.

Just to be sure though, is the useful diode, the one on the right?
The heatsink goes over the back of the diode.

The top diode is still stuck within the mount/heatsink.

Yep, I soldered wires onto both diodes and tested em both at 60mA. The right one is the LD we want, if anyone else opens up a GSA 4163B LG 16x DVD RW drive.

And for the first time, I got a huge BURST of red light coming out from the diode! Tested it up to 100mA so far, and its been amazing!

No wonder the rest of the diodes were so anti-climatic, I almost thought they were the real deal
