Found this model cheap at a local hardware store: it is used but had burning capabilities at 16x. Anyone have any experience with the 650nm diode?
I extracted the diode without the screw, I can't tell if it's ir or red it has a 7 on it. With a heatsink surrounding it.
Edit: finally got the one with the set screw off, it has a optical clear apparatus attached to the output of the can, but appears to have no heatsink other than the thin metal attached to the glass apparatus. pics soon! help would be greatly appreciated.
