Need good driver board for DIY DVD red burner

I'm new to all this stuff but I wanna build a laser from DVD burner.
I heard that I definitely need a driverboard (contrary to most video instructions) or my diode will die in a matter of seconds.
I'd like to make a fairly long lasting laser, one that doesn't die after a week or so.
So I need a good 3V driver board which drives around 200 mA. However, I wouldn't like to make my own driverboard.
Can you recommend me some flashlight or so apart from Dorcy (because I cannot buy one so easily), preferably from DX. I would also prefer powering it with AA or AAA batteries.

I know I'm a bit picky, but I'd be grateful if someone could help me out.

There are some people, I'm sure they'll read this thread and drop you a PM, who sell premade drivers for a very reasonable price.

All you need add is batteries and a diode.

They should be around any time now...

But even with that you will still have to make your own driver, there not near as hard as you think there very easy, i new next to nothing about electronics when i made one but since all those pictures of it i made it easily.

I like your driver board, but I suppose the shipping to my country (Croatia, Europe) would be $10 or so, am I right? And this is too much for delivery...

yeah, it would have to be. I might be able to squeeze it down to like $5 but the downside to that is less safety in shipping...
Go build a Daedal driver then!
