Does anyone have an idea about a good anti-virus proggy for Windows Vista ? If so, PM me some info if you would, please ? Thanks !

I use mcafee... and I swear by it! I'm using it now on Vista and it's extremely efficient and much lighter (less overhead) than most others... and offers some of the best protection I have found anywhere else.

GL;
DDL

I have Windows Live OneCare
It looks the best and integrates well into vista.
Looks like part of vista, which it should be, but it's cool.
It works really well too, automatically picks up any infection straight away and asks me if it want's it to 'demolish' it, which it does.
It is very very good

Well I guess everyone has their favourite, and I guess you have to use what works for you.

Have a look at the free AV from Avira, it is rock solid and prompts you to download the latest sigs every 3 days to stay up to date.

I have been using it for years and touch wood I have never had a single infection.

Perfect virus protection!:

Step 1: Wipe off Windows

Step 2: Install Linux

Step...no wait, that's all of it :P

AVG is being used on one of our pc's and that works great too for vista not to mention it's free!! >>http://www.freewarefiles.com/program_9_90_1007.html
I've used all the above and find this to be the dogs nuts :D One care is not all tha good and has trouble finding the latest trojans etc....

I also use AVG for my Vista gaming rig. It really is nice, not to mention it updates every day.

That is very true, I have one that runs off a live CD and comes with all the drivers and application I need to get me going. I use it to debug/fix/use a dead computer. :D

For Spyware and the such I use SpywareBlaster AND Spybot S&D. Both of which are (when combined) superior to pretty much anything else out there and, best of all, FREE! Those combined with a good virus scanner and your PC will never ask for sick days ;)

YA, I have webroot spysweeper, and it hasn't given me any trouble, and it updates, and I heard that is was the best, so that;s what I've got, and no problem here
