Need a torch

I need a torch to act host to my Anxiz module and a driver board (http://www.laserpointerforums.com/forums/YaBB.pl?num=1195298965)

I currently have a Cree C3 but it may be to small, anyone know anything on DX thats easy to mod and either uses a 18650 or CR123 battery?

I'm looking at getting a C-8,

But that just takes AA batts. Looks to be a good size though and with a driver board replacement people have modded it to take 3 AAs by adding another extension tube.

That would be perfect if it wasn't for the shit tail switch and rubber cap.

Ive got a bag of glow in the dark and orange tail caps that are awesome compared to the one in that light, It seems to be reliable though.

I can tell you from experience that the write up DDL made is awesome. I got the parts for the driver, a SenKat diode and bought an MDXL and had the whole thing together and working in about 2 hours. Most of that time we my inability to solder for sh!t. I have learned that my solder skills are lacking hardcore. but other then that it's soooo simple.
