My First Real Laser

Ok, so I really want to get into the laser world just because what is cooler than a beam of LIGHT burning through crap and all the science and electronics behind it. But I don't know where to start. I bought a 50mW off of Amazon and that was a total lie and was a piece of shit and couldn't even start a match. But now I want to get a real burning laser, like 200mW. But I don't know where to start, should I go for a red (because there cheaper), green (more visible), or blue (because there cool)? I don't have much money so I am looking to get the best setup possible for cheap. Thanks for your help.
