I Don't have an LPM but this thing can burn through a CD case within Seconds!! I was trying to light a match(the hard way) and it ended up cutting the match! WOW!! lol I was definitely excited on that one. In Broad Daylight the Dot is clearly visible Far away in the distance; pointing at trees. Nowadays it seems that a 1W Green Laser is getting affordable and within a few years maybe 5W? Idk just wondering how bright that sucker would be. Well anyways just posting a few pics just to show the laser and some beam shots.

Nice pictures.

I do not think that laser has an IR filter maybe ask Ben Wang at OXLaser if that is where it came from if it has an IR filter--since it is a higher power 532nm you should want to get some goggles that protect you from 532nm green as well as the 808nm and 1064nm IR----either that or you can buy a small IR filter and install it yourself----to be on safe side---you would still ned goggles for 532nm. Search Ebay of AliExpress for "IR laser filter" --- they are available here also 808nm,1064nm IR filter [OL-FL] - $3.50 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce

Good laser goggle for 532nm green and IR hereEagle Pair® 190-540nm & 800-2000nm Laser Safety Goggles

I think the power includes IR. I'm pretty sure and it came with Goggles :)

Ohh Yes I wear Goggles especially when Burning things lol. Thanks.

MY point was the orange/red goggle those lasers come with do not protect you from the IR that leaks from a 532nm green whch you cn not see--they are OK inexpensive gogle but not excellent goggles like the Eagle Pair. Eagle Pair® 190-540nm & 800-2000nm Laser Safety Goggles

If they are like the OXlasers kit laser goglgles like here OXLasers OX GX7 high power 500mW focusable burning green laser pointer fat Beam extream bright and powerful EMS FREE SHIPPING-in Laser Pens from Computer & Office on Aliexpress.com | Alibaba Group they are only limited good for the 532nm green.and useless for IR hazard.

Is up to you to decide but you only have one pair of eyes. Ask yourself, are they and your vision long term, worth investing in good quality laser goggles or not.

Maybe have a look here http://laserpointerforums.com/f53/irreversible-vision-damage-don-t-turn-blind-eye-laser-hazards-71299.html
