Find a tube that will fit on your laser. It doesn't have to be perfect like mine, as long as it can be altered to fit (tape on the inside or think of something creative)

Somehow tape a plano-convex lens with the convex side to the end of the tube. In my case the tape holds the lens by sticking on the underside. Trim off any excess tape at the lens.

And my mod for a DX50

My tube is 1/2'' and the DX is 13mm, which is a fraction bigger, so I invented this:

Take two pieces of tape. Put the sticky sides together with 1/2 displacement. Cut off the sticky excess on one side and trim the ends (make the ends parallel). Wrap the remaining sticky side around the tube.

Get the idea?

Actually this is half of my DX50 because I replaced the battery compartment with a cap with a wire

The DX50: power supply, because it has its own driver

The red diode: from a precision adjustable driver
