I'm using a ddl driver @ 625ma. After I turned it off last night outside I noticed It was still on. It was probably under 1mw but I could plainly see it on the ground. I'm using a 47mf cap which is probably storing the power to cause this but for 10 seconds after the battery is disconnected is kinda weird.
Does anybody else notice this with other drivers?

I've had this happen with certain LED flashlights before. Basically the cap stores up the power and as the cap is drained the voltage goes down which leads to the diode drawing even less current from the cap which of course leads to the cap draining even slower. That's why it lasts a while and slowly dies out.

Is it still lasing or gone LED? if you have one capable of lasing at very low power levels, thats a special diode! most go from LED to eye ball frying power with nothing in between (from what ive read).

Yeah it's still tits, I just figured the cap would discharge a lot quicker than 10 seconds. I figured 5 seconds at the most.
Got the labby almost finished.

If it an electrolytic it will store energy and since there is not enough current for the diode
to lase its now an LED drawing just a few ma so that's why it lasts a while
